One of the primary roles of a professional association is to recognize the excellence, service, and achievements of its members.  There is no better way to encourage good work than to identify those whose contributions are outstanding.

NCIV presents the following awards to recognize service and achievement:

• NCIV Excellence in Advocacy Award
• NCIV Excellence in Programming Awards

As part of the overall 50th Anniversary observance, NCIV presented the NCIV Citizen Diplomat Awards recognizing Multigenerational Leadership at the local and national level during the 50th Anniversary Gala on February 16, 2011.  The Pillar Awards were presented to individuals who have helped the NCIV network survive and thrive during it's first 50 years, and the Bridge Awards were presented to individuals who are playing a key role in positioning the NCIV network for its next half century.  The Corporate Citizen Diplomat Award recipient was Medtronic, Inc., nominated by the Minnesota International Center.
