Sharing the U.S. Electoral Process
Mr. Brad Minnick and Office of International Visitors Set Goal that each 2008 IVL Program is to Receive Election Exposure
There is no better time to gain perspective into the intricate American political process and presidential elections than in the midst of an election year. For this reason, Mr. Brad Minnick, director, Office of International Visitors, has stated that each program this year should have at least one time block of one day devoted entirely to helping International Visitors gain a deeper understanding of the U.S. election process. “The United States,” Mr. Minnick says, “is viewed as a beacon of democracy worldwide, so 2008 presents an excellent opportunity to expose every one of our International Visitors to some aspect of the United States’ electoral process.” Please take the time to read the insert provided by Mr. Minnick, as it will explain the election component and answer frequently asked questions concerning its implementation.
