Associate Member
Definition: An organization that shares NCIV's commitment to promoting excellence in citizen diplomacy. (Associate Members are not eligible for grants administered by NCIV from the U.S. Department of State's Office of International Visitors.) Associate Membership is subject to NCIV Board review and approval.

Benefits
- Education and Training Programs – NCIV organizes National Meetings, Regional Meetings, workshops, and seminars, which offer education and training on topics important to NCIV members. Members are invited to participate actively and display promotional materials at these events. Members also receive a discounted registration rate at these events.
- Advocacy – NCIV educates members of the U.S. Congress on the value of international exchange and the contributions of citizen diplomacy. NCIV actively advocates for adequate funding to support exchange activities. NCIV issues Action Alerts to its members that contain late breaking updates, information about pending policy and funding decisions that will affect the field. Sample letters and phone scripts are provided.
- Leadership Opportunities – National level participation opportunities are offered on the National Board of Directors and various working committees, as well as at trainings and conferences.
- Resource Materials — Members are entitled to a complimentary copy of all NCIV publications, including titles such as a Financial Management Primer, International Exchange Programs for Teachers, and Building an Effective Board of Directors. A current list of NCIV publications can be found on our website. Members also receive a subscription to the monthly NCIV Network News, a printed newsletter featuring information about NCIV members and issues affecting the field of international education and exchange. Members are encouraged to submit articles for inclusion. NCIV regularly produces other publications such as training manuals on nonprofit management, programming, and advocacy that are uniquely conceived for our members. Members have instant access to these and other resources in the Member Corner of the NCIV website, http://www.nciv.org.
- Promotion – All organizational members are listed in the NCIV Membership Directory and on the NCIV website.
Annual Dues
Membership fees are based on number of full-time staff members.
Staff of 1-5: $150
Staff of 6 or more: $250
