U.S. Department of State, International Visitor Leadership Program
Now in its 70th year, the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. The IVLP connects current and emerging foreign leaders with their American counterparts through short-term programs that foster greater coordination, communication, and collaboration on foreign policy issues. NCIV partners with the U.S. Department of State to support its network of members who implement the IVLP in cities and towns across the country.
Office of Language Services
The Office of Language Services facilitates communication with non-English speaking governments and people by providing high-level interpreting and translating support to the Executive Office of the President, the Department of State and other federal agencies. The Office of Language Services provides all Interpreters and English Language Officers for the IVLP.
Office of Alumni Affairs
The Office of Alumni Affairs offers support to alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs, so that the program itself is only the beginning of an ongoing exchange of ideas. The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, in coordination with U.S. embassies, consulates and U.S. non-profit organizations, is increasingly offering support to alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs through resources such as State Alumni, an online global community for current and former exchange program participants.
