Funded through NCIV’s Cooperative Agreement with the Office of International Visitors, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), U.S. Department of State, this event provided participants with excellent opportunities to network with colleagues from Councils for International Visitors, National Program Agencies, and the U.S. Department of State Office of International Visitors.  The meeting was hosted by the World Trade Center Institute of Baltimore, Maryland, and held at the beautiful Tremont Plaza Hotel in downtown Baltimore.

The Regional Meeting offered numerous highlights for participants, including:

  • Concurrent and plenary sessions that provided excellent opportunities to gain knowledge of U.S. public diplomacy and the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program, develop understanding of current U.S. foreign policy and its impact on local communities, and strengthen the programming skills of NCIV members, their public sector partners, and other leaders in the field of international exchanges.
  • Dinner hospitality in the homes of volunteers in Baltimore, which provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships with colleagues and make new friends.
  • Optional Activities, including the Fells Point Ghost Walk or a Baltimore Orioles game on Friday evening and a visit to the American Visionary Art Museum or the Fort McHenry National Monument on Saturday, June 25th.
