Programs & Services
NCIV Programs and Services seek to develop the leadership abilities and nonprofit management skills of our members; to strengthen our members' ability to design high-quality professional programs, cultural activities, and home hospitality for participants in the IVLP and other exchange programs; and to involve a steadily increasing number of Americans in the practice of citizen diplomacy.
Programs and Services include:
- National and Regional Meetings and other training and networking activities;
- Publications and electronic resources for our national network designed to disseminate best practices and keep members abreast of developments affecting their work;
- Orchestration of efforts to educate the U.S. Congress regarding the value and impact of citizen diplomacy and international exchange;
- Grant programs for our member organizations; and
- Representation of our network to the U.S. Department of State, other federal agencies, and the general public.
