Congressional International Interests and ExperienceUPDATED!
NCIV has updated the database on the international interests and experience of members of the new 110th United States Congress to be used as an advocacy and programming tool. The information was gathered from a variety of sources including the knowledge of CIV and NPA staff, websites of members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, and Internet sources that track Congress.
NCIV members can use this information to gain a positive response when requesting appointments to educate members of Congress about international exchanges or to secure appointments for International Visitors. By including information regarding a Congressional member's specific international interests and experience, interaction between NCIV members and the U.S. government can be both more personal and more focused. NCIV encourages all of its members to communicate and build relationships with their Representatives and Senators in order to further the message and mission of the NCIV network and to convey the need for increased support and resources for all international exchange programs.
