The National Council for International Visitors (NCIV) Midwestern Regional Meeting took place in Detroit, Michigan, on August 1-3, 2007. This event was funded in large part through NCIV’s cooperative agreement with the Office of International Visitors, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State.
The meeting was hosted locally by the International Visitors Council of Metropolitan Detroit. The three-day gathering brought together representatives of all the major partners who support the International Visitor Leadership Program, allowing both veterans and newcomers alike excellent opportunities to interact, share practical advice, voice concerns, listen to important policy questions, and enjoy the collective spirit that sustains international exchanges as a vital instrument of public diplomacy.
