The NCIV Southern Regional Meeting took place in Huntsville, Alabama, June 21-23, 2006, and was funded through NCIV's Cooperative Agreement with the Office of International Visitors, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State.
The meeting was hosted locally by the International Services Council of Huntsville-Madison County, which expertly managed a myriad of responsibilities. The three-day gathering brought together representatives of all the major partners who orchestrate programs for International Visitors, allowing both veterans and novices alike excellent opportunities to interact, share practical advice, voice concerns, listen to important policy questions, and enjoy the collective spirit that sustains international exchanges as a vital instrument of public diplomacy. Including speakers, 119 people registered for the meeting.
